Bingo Games

When Lucy Hammett, the Founder Bingo Games received repeat orders from the Smithsonian with a follow-up request to create a custom game for the White House Historical Association, she knew she was onto something.

My games are classic Educational Picture Bingo games – with over 35 titles – that really do turn children onto the beauty and mystery of nature with bug, butterfly, bird and dinosaur bingo.

My customer base is primarily parents, grandparents, teachers and used in nursing homes throughout the country.

We continue to look for new stores – and distributors – and keep our online presence strong as retail continues to grow online.

It’s not like the old days when a tradeshow was all you needed.

Greatest Success:

Finding the best business partner, with the same vision, that helped with funding so we could keep the games in print and grow… going on 33 years.

Biggest Challenge:

Always growing the numbers.

Overcoming the Challenge:

Pursing new customers and working on sales everyday.

When you imagine success, what does it look like?

Having that 15 minutes of fame when my games are a national BUZZ and our website is flooded with orders.

As an entrepreneur, how do you decide what to do yourself and what to hire someone to do?

I believe its all about how much $ you have and are willing to spend.

How do you manage family and business?

Make a schedule and stick to it.

What advice do you have to fellow mom entrepreneurs?

KEEP putting a drop in the bucket and it will fill up!!

What have you learned about yourself being an entrepreneur?

That if you keep at it — it will work.

If you could wave a magic wand and be given anything to help your business right now, what would it be?

A national publication would pick up my story and give me an interview.  Then a TV show like Ellen DeGeneras would invite me on her show to get some TV exposure.

What is your favorite go-to resource, tool, book, app and why?

Google for new potential customers.

What is your favorite indulgence?

Painting.
